A fascinating valley, broad and long, alternating continuously between green pastures and the highest mountains, a crossroads between Italy and France, somewhere to “pass by” not simply as a transit point and why not maybe crossing the Via Francigena!
Passing a relaxing or amusing holiday, passing by to “feel” the medieval history of the Novalesa Abbey or the Sacra of San Michele, the one you can find in Umberto Eco’s masterpiece “Il nome della rosa” (The name of the Rose). Passing through the Cottian Alps Parks strolling upwards reaching 2,200 meters, and at 3,500 meters the most representative peak of the region called Rocciamelone is to be found. The highest Marian sanctuary is situated here and it’s where, every year, two amongst the most important international mountain races take place: the “Stellina Race” and the “RedBull K3”; a sports goal par excellence. Speaking about sports why not passing by the Alpi Road Bike Resort or yet, driving through the thousands of bends of the mountain climbs, paradise on earth for bikers.
This is Val di Susa and at the centre of all this you can find us, the Hotel Napoleon in Susa…open for you from May till October! Can you afford not to pass by and try?
